- 1) Estimate materials needed for residential, commercial, and multi-family projects
- 2) Save screenshots of layouts in the estimating drive
- 3) Size and specify engineered products (beams, hangers etc.)
- 4) Contact the builder, architect or structural engineer if questions or concerns arise with the plans
- 5) Work one on one with all inside and outside sales people
- 6) Coordinate with other designers so that we do not duplicate material.
- 7) Create bullet point list with each completed take-of
- 8) Assist department manager when needed
- 9) Assist with technical questions for the customers, sales reps, and other estimators
- 10)Help in the training of existing and new estimators
- 11)Work with admin to keep bids pending updated
- 12)Email completed material list and bullet points to admin, inside sales, and sales person
- 13)Assist salespeople in meetings with clients when needed
- 14)Knowledge of Planswift take-off program or similar type of program helpful
